6. Turia Gardens and Flower Bridge — The Green Lung of the City

After the catastrophic flood of 1957, Valencia made a bold decision: instead of restoring the river as it passed through the city, it diverted its course and transformed the old riverbed into a 9-kilometer-long landscaped corridor, now considered one of the largest urban parks in Europe.

It is currently a space for running, cycling, picnicking, attending concerts, festivals or simply disconnecting.

The Flower Bridge is one of its most emblematic spots, decorated with thousands of plants and flowers that change according to the season, creating a lively and colorful spectacle.

The park is ideal for cycling thanks to its dedicated bike lanes, gentle slopes, and numerous rest areas. A good tip is to take a short break in one of the themed garden areas, such as the rose gardens or the aromatic plant gardens.
